For Florida law firms
Conflict screen of the firm's own records at every door
firm lane · Deterministic — no model call
Current availability
ShippedConfigured and enabled: firm staff of the matter's firm.
- Where it lives
- Add a client · estate-plan and probate intake · the vault's new matter · a transfer's acceptance · the consult door · Firm settings → Conflicts (by hand) · the weekly rescan
- What unlocks it
- firm staff of the matter's firm; every screen reads only the firm's own party index
Status is evaluated against this deployment's configuration by the capability-status service at build time; the catalogue's facts were last reviewed on the date shown.
Capabilities
- ShippedEvery name in the firm's book is indexed as it is written — clients, prospects, decedents, settlors read from a trust's title, trustees, beneficiaries, personal representatives, fiduciaries, spouses, institutions, adverse and other parties, the declined register and members' prior clients and firms — normalized the same way in the database and in the app (accents, apostrophes, titles, suffixes and entity words).
- ShippedEach door screens BEFORE anything is created: a screen that cannot be read refuses and creates nothing — it is never shown as no match.
- ShippedEach finding names the entry behind it (its kind, its role, the matter it sits on) and its confidence: exact, strong (the same names) or weak (a shared surname — shown, never holding anything).
- ShippedA declined person, an adverse role or an exact or strong possible match holds the engagement until an attorney decides it; a weak match and a decided namesake are shown for review only.
- ShippedEvery screen is kept on the record with the names screened and the results; a later screen of the same fact inherits the attorney's decision by its key.
- ShippedEach week every open matter is screened again against the firm's records as they stand; a new finding lands on Today and in Conflict review.
Limits
- A screen compares names, not people: a finding is for an attorney's judgment, and "no match" is never a clearance — the attorney's determination is still theirs to record.
- Only the firm's own records are read; no other firm's book and no outside source is screened.
- Up to 500 index entries are read per name and the strongest 50 kept; a screen that met the cap says so.
- The direct (consumer) tenant has no conflict book and its people are never indexed.
What EstateDraftFL refuses
| Reason code | HTTP | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| screen-unreadable | 503 | The screen could not run just now — nothing was created. |
| unscreenable | 400 | A title, initials or a suffix alone has nothing to compare — give full names. |
| forbidden | 403 | Only the firm's staff screen the firm's records. |
