Capabilities
- ShippedEach document is a chain of versions: a revised upload adds a version and never replaces the earlier one, so a citation to an earlier version keeps opening it.
- ShippedThe viewer shows the original beside its normalized text, checks the stored bytes against the fingerprint recorded at upload, and says how the file was read and what could not be read.
- ShippedA citation opens at the passage it quotes — found by its words; a quotation found on another page says so, and a page with no text layer is named as not read.
- ShippedExtracted facts, review-rail findings, review recommendations and Matter Brain answers link back to the words they came from; find-in-source searches the latest version of every document.
Limits
- A PDF's text layer is read page by page; a page with no text layer (a scan) is not read — no text recognition runs, and nothing on such a page can be cited.
- Word and plain-text files have no pages: their citations point to paragraphs, never to a page number.
- Files up to 50 MB are read; the PDF original is shown inside the page on larger screens and opens in its own tab on phones.
- Find-in-source searches the latest version of up to 12 documents per search and says when it was partial.
- A version may be revised once — the next revision revises the latest version, so the chain stays one line.
